Our Staff
Our team is a special group of people.
We are professionally trained, highly experienced, and motivated by a deep sense of purpose.
Each of us has a story about why we do this work. We’ve seen people hurt by well-meaning but poorly trained therapists. That’s why many of us chose this profession. For many years we’ve walked alongside countless clients, helping them to find and walk the path that meets their deepest needs.

As a therapist working with children, adolescents, and their families, Bryan lends perspective through the challenges of this ever-changing, exciting and challenging time of life. Bryan’s approach focuses on developing a safe space for vulnerability and authenticity. He bases his approach on the idea that we want to be understood and accepted for who we are, at any age. Our stories, experiences and behaviors make sense when we develop understanding of ourselves and the way we are wired. We can then learn to share that authentic self and our story with safe others, creating healthy connection and support. Bryan focuses on identifying and enhancing strengths and interests, while developing strategies to overcome deficits and struggles. Bryan believes in creating an environment in which treatment provided involves research-supported interventions, focus on education and treatment plans and interventions creatively tailored to each individual. If we are interested and passionate about what we are learning, it leads us to be motivated to grow. This strength and interest-based approach is especially key in working with children, adolescents and the neurodivergent population (individuals with ADHD, those on the Autism Spectrum or Gifted/Twice Exceptional individuals).
As Director of Pediatric and Neurodivergent services at New Life Resources, Bryan seeks to develop the highest quality of care for children, adolescents and the differently wired. He provides leadership, development and training of therapists on the Pediatric and Neurodivergent treatment team. Bryan also has a passion to educate the larger community in pediatric and neurodivergent care through collaboration and training in schools, healthcare organizations and churches.
Bryan is a Licensed Professional Counselor with diverse experience. In addition to his work at New Life Resources, Bryan has worked in intensive outpatient, residential and in-home care in the treatment of children, adolescents, and their families. He works with children/adolescents ages 3-18, specializing in treatment of neurodivergence. Bryan also works with neurodivergent adults, building on strengths and supporting the struggles that come with being differently wired.

Everyone has a special, unique story. There’s a tendency to compare our story with another’s. The truth is, there is no story that is more important than another’s…they are just different. Yvonne counts it a privilege to walk alongside individuals and families in whatever chapter of their life story they find themselves. Yvonne’s goal is to provide a setting of safety and trust so that healing and change can occur at the client’s pace. Yvonne uses therapies that fit the client rather than trying to have the client fit the therapy. She believes that a listening ear and a sense of hope can go a long way no matter what the struggle.

Narratives shape how we understand and navigate the world, influencing our interactions, responses, and thoughts. To change our patterns, we must first become aware of the narratives that guide us.
Ryan is passionate about meeting clients in a safe space where they feel heard and understood while exploring the narratives that shape their lives. Through this exploration, he helps clients identify strengths and solutions, moving them closer to their therapy goals. Ryan’s approach is clinically informed by the latest research and enriched by years of biblical training and pastoral experience.
With 20 years of experience working with clients of all ages across various contexts—including private practice, community mental health, and church settings—Ryan has developed a broad understanding of different life challenges. He has spent over a decade working with college students and has spoken at youth retreats in Mexico and the United States. Additionally, Ryan has served as a missionary in both countries for 14 years.
Ryan also brings a unique perspective from his extensive sports background. As a four-sport athlete in high school, an all-state basketball player, and a competitor at the NCAA Division II level, he understands how sports can impact an athlete’s mental health, leading to burnout and diminished performance. He believes that to thrive and compete at your highest potential, mental health must be a priority.

The relationship between client and counselor is central to the counseling experience, and Sarah seeks to create a safe and authentic relationship which leads to vulnerability, deep connection, and whole-heartedness. In working with clients, she has seen how shame is a common experience that keeps clients from connecting with themselves, others, and their desired life. Sarah’s passion is to see clients better understand their own emotional experiences and the messages behind those emotions, and heal from past trauma and wounding relationships. The purpose? To build a better sense of self and create deep, healthy relationships with those around them.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor, Sarah has experience working with adolescents and adults of all seasons of life in both private and community settings. She has her master’s degree from a faith-based, internationally-acclaimed university, and has worked as a church ministry leader of young adults. Sarah’s approach is faith-based and clinically-informed, though she values meeting her clients right where they’re at.

Jessica strives to meet clients exactly where they are. She embraces individuals from all walks of life, including every religion, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, and gender identity. She delights in bringing a smile to the room and creating a space where clients feel genuinely seen and heard. Life can be tough, but Jessica believes that with a little compassion and understanding, they can navigate its twists and turns together.
Jessica’s approach is rooted in being person-centered, where clients lead the way in their sessions. She loves to explore the mind-body connection in therapy, using mindfulness and the senses to increase self-awareness. She taps into the natural language of children through play, expressive arts, and movement to communicate in ways that are more innate for them. When children feel like they are in a safe space to be their authentic selves, growth can take place.
With prior experience in working with children on the autism spectrum, Jessica is part of the Pediatric and Neurodivergent treatment team at New Life Resources. She is passionate about tackling the unique challenges that are faced in a society built for neurotypical individuals and accepting everyone for their individuality. Additionally, she has specialized training in working with survivors of sex trafficking, guiding them toward safety, healing, and empowerment. Recognizing the importance of trauma-informed care, Jessica understands that trauma impacts everyone differently.
In addition to her work at New Life Resources, Jessica works in a comprehensive community services program, and has done counseling in a family counseling center, residential treatment facility, and children’s advocacy center to treat children, adolescents, college students, and parents.

Let’s get there together.
Our confidential conversations come with no judgment. You can be vulnerable here. For many clients, talking with someone at New Life Resources is the first time they’ve been able to speak the truth about their story, questions, and fears. That vulnerability can take time, and that’s ok. We’ll find a path forward together.
